Jenis teks ini merupakan Genre text yang dipelajari di level SMA dan tidak diajarkan di level SMP. Pada Buku Bahasa Inggris Kelas XI Kurikulum 2013 dijelaskan bahwa Teks Analytical exposition adalah:

-          - An analytical exposition text evaluates a topic critically but  focuses only one side of an argument.

-         -  It is to persuade anyone on a certain issue or argued relentlessly about something with someone

-         -  It is the text which has the argument and point of view supported by fats and relevant information,  then the thesis statement has to be reiterated in the conclusion.

Definition (pengertian) Dari 3 Deskripsi penjelasan teks analytical expostition di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa Teks Analytical exposition adalah  Sebuah teks yang bertujuan untuk meyakinkan pendapat kita mengenai suatu hal kepada orang lain dengan argument-argumen  tertentu yang didukung oleh bukti-bukti, data pendukung dan informasi relevan yang ada sehingga dapat diterima oleh mereka.
2.	Social Function (Fungsi Sosial) To persuade our audience to look an issue with our own perspective Untuk meyakinkan orang lain/audiens terhadapat suatu hal/isu menurut pendapat kita .

4.	Structure of Exposition text (Struktur teks) Secara umum teks ini terdiri dari: 1. Thesis Yaitu bagian yang berisi mengenai topik atau atau ide pokok yang akan dibahas oleh penulis. 2. Argument with elaboration Yaitu bagian yang berisi mengenai argumen-argumen atau pendapat dari penulis untuk meyakinkan audiens disertai dengan fakta-fakta atau data pendukung dan informasi yang relevan seputar isu atau hal yang dibicarakan. Biasanya dalam teks eksposisi ini terdapat lebih dari satu argumen yang tujuannya adalah supaya audiens semakin percaya dan mengikuti opini atau pendapat kita. 3. Reiteration Yaitu penutup dari teks analytical exposition yang berisi suatu kesimpulan (conclusion) atau penegasan dan penempatan kembali ide pokok yang dijelaskan pada thesis statement.
5.	Language Features (Ciri Kebahasaan) -            Menggunakan Present tense -            Menggunakan Mental Verbs, Contoh:  I believe, I agree, I doubt, etc. -            Menggunakan Saying Verbs, Contoh: As people say, It is said, research indicates, etc. -            Menggunakan Causal conjunction, Contoh: because, consequently, due to, in that case, yet, for that reason, otherwise, etc. -            Menggunakan Connecting words, Contoh: Additionally, in addition, moreover, furthermore, firstly, secondly, also, etc. -            Menggunakan  persuasive techniques
6.	Examples of analytical text (Contoh Teks) Thesis Cars should be banned in the city. As we all know, cars create pollution, and cause a lot of road deaths and other accidents. Argument 1 Firstly, cars, as we all know, contribution to the most of the pollution in the world. Cars emit a deadly gas that causes illness such as bronchritis, lung cancer, and ‘triggers’ off asthma. Some of these illnesses are so bad that people can die from them. Argument 2 secondly, the city is very busy. Pedestrians wander everywhere and cars commonly hit pedestrains in the city, which causes them to die. Cars today are our roads biggest killers. Argument 3 Thirdly, cars are very noisy. If you live in the city, you may find it hard to sleep at night, or concentrate on your homework, and especially talk to someone. 7) Jika Anda SUDAH memiliki Akun Mi, lewati langkah 3-6 di atas, Anda bisa langsung mengunjungi http://en.miui.com/unlock/ dan mengeklik Unlock Now, lalu masuk dengan akun Mi yang sudah Anda miliki.

8) Sekarang Anda berada di halaman Unlocking Permission. Cukup isi semua kolom yang ada sesuai dengan data Anda.

9) Di kolom Mobile phone, isi nomor ponsel Anda yang telah terdaftar di Akun Mi. Jangan lupa untuk mengubah Kode Negara sesuai dengan negara Anda. Dalam hal ini, saya dari Indonesia, jadi saya menggunakan kode negara +62.

10) Pada formulir seperti yang ditunjukkan di bawah ini, isikan alasan mengapa Anda meminta izin untuk membuka unlock bootloader di Xiaomi dan harus menggunakan Bahasa Inggris. Berikut ini contoh yang saya sarankan.
